Professional Content and Clinical Integrity Policy
1. Purpose of the Platform
Thetsy exists to provide a trusted marketplace and knowledge hub for educational resources created by licensed mental health professionals. The platform is designed to support the dissemination of clinically grounded psychoeducation, therapeutic tools, and professional expertise that contribute to human wellbeing and psychological flourishing.
Content published on Thetsy is expected to reflect the professional standards, ethical responsibilities, and clinical judgment associated with licensed mental health practice.
The platform is not intended to function as a social media network, personal publishing forum, or general opinion platform.
2. Professional Standards for Published Content
Content submitted to Thetsy must meet the following professional criteria:
- Educational or psychoeducational in nature
- Grounded in clinical experience, professional training, or established psychological theory
- Presented in a manner consistent with professional ethics and responsibility
- Intended to support psychological wellbeing, relational health, or therapeutic learning
Examples of appropriate content include:
- Psychoeducational articles
- Structured therapeutic exercises or worksheets
- Course material or learning modules
- Clinical reflections on therapeutic concepts or modalities
- Research-informed explanations of mental health topics
- Therapist-created tools for personal growth, relational functioning, and emotional regulation
3. Distinction from Social Media Content
Thetsy does not host content intended primarily for personal branding, audience influence, or general lifestyle commentary.
The following types of material are not appropriate for the platform:
- Personal development commentary modeled on social media or influencer culture
- Lifestyle or self-help writing not grounded in clinical training or therapeutic practice
- Personal opinion essays unrelated to mental health education
- Content designed primarily for entertainment, virality, or audience engagement
Thetsy prioritizes substance, professional credibility, and clinical usefulness over personal expression or audience influence.
4. Political and Ideological Neutrality
Thetsy is not a platform for political advocacy, ideological persuasion, or cultural commentary.
Content whose primary aim is to advocate for political, ideological, or social movements will not be approved for publication.
This includes:
- Political persuasion or policy advocacy
- Ideological commentary unrelated to clinical practice
- Cultural or social analysis framed as activism rather than professional education
Mental health professionals may discuss social or cultural issues when directly relevant to clinical care or psychological understanding, provided the discussion remains educational and professionally grounded.
5. Faith-Based and Spiritual Content
Thetsy recognizes that many therapists integrate spiritual or faith traditions into their clinical framework.
Content that discusses spirituality or faith is permitted when:
- It is presented in a clinical or therapeutic context
- It explores the psychological implications of belief systems, practices, or spiritual frameworks
- It is intended for psychoeducational purposes
Content intended to promote, persuade, or convert readers to a particular religious belief or tradition will not be permitted.
6. Human Dignity, Bodily Integrity, and Sexual Health
Thetsy supports mental health education grounded in respect for human dignity, bodily integrity, and relational wellbeing.
Content relating to sexuality, identity, and relational functioning must be:
- Clinically informed
- Developmentally appropriate
- Respectful of the complexity of human embodiment and psychological development
- Consistent with established therapeutic ethics and evidence-based practice
Content that promotes frameworks or ideologies that diminish human dignity, undermine bodily integrity, or conflict with long-term psychological wellbeing may be declined at the discretion of the platform.
7. Commitment to Human Flourishing
Thetsy curates content that contributes to long-term psychological health, relational stability, and meaningful human development.
The platform seeks to elevate resources that reflect:
- Evidence-informed therapeutic practice
- Developmentally grounded perspectives on identity and relationships
- Respect for the complexity of the human person
- Approaches that promote resilience, connection, and flourishing
Content inconsistent with these principles may be declined or removed.
8. Editorial Discretion
Thetsy reserves the right to review, approve, decline, or remove content at its sole discretion in order to maintain the professional standards and mission of the platform.
Content decisions are guided by the goal of preserving a clinically credible, ethically responsible environment for both therapists and the public.
9. Professional Responsibility of Contributors
All contributors are responsible for ensuring that their submitted materials:
- Reflect their professional training and scope of practice
- Comply with applicable professional ethics and licensing standards
- Do not misrepresent clinical evidence or therapeutic effectiveness
Contributors retain responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of their content.
